The Great Gildersleeve - Winning the War
One of America's favorite comedies during radio's golden age, The Great Gildersleeve was broadcast weekly on NBC begininng in 1941 and continuing through the late 1950s.  Approximately thirty programs, many from the wartime years, are among oldtime radio's "lost" episodes.  This is the first in a series of re-creations performed by the Lexington, KY chapter of American Radio Theater.  Originally broadcast on September 13, 1942, Gildersleeve devotes himself to "Winning the War".

In the Bag

From Lexington
For your holiday enjoyment, the Lexington Chapter of ART proudly presents an adaptation of a Radio City Playhouse Christmas classic -" 'Twas the Night Before Christmas... or Goats Gone Wild!"  Starring Roger Tremaine, John Heflin and Luralyn Lahr.

Christmas Special
Just in time for the holiday season!   ART presents an original production, written by Reynaud LeBoeuf - "North Pole, My Beat."  Also on this month's podcast, two episodes of the classic Christmas OTR serial, "The Cinnamon Bear."

Halloween Special
ART presents an ectoplasmic double feature - two brand new re-creations of programs from radio's golden age.  First up: " The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" as heard on The Hallmark Playhouse in October of 1950, starring Cole Hornaday and Pat McNally.  Followed by:  "Good Ghost", a tale written by Wyllis Cooper and originally presented on Quiet Please, October 24th, 1948, starring Cliff Carpenter, Kevin O'Morrison and Jean Rouverol-Butler.

The Poison Belt
Recorded live at ART's Radio Studio 2008, "The Poison Belt" is a Professor Challenger adventure adapted for radio by Cole Hornaday from the  original story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
