Kim Reginald Turner is a lifelong resident of Seattle, educated at Queen Anne High School, followed by two semesters at University of Washington, without a major. His first radio broadcast was around 1953, contributing to an advertisement for KING Safety Patrol. In 1954 he was featured on KOMO TV's Quizdown, and in 1954 The Columbus Day Pageant on the KING-TV Bill O'Mara program. Kim's stage roles have ranged from Kenneth Dowey in J.M. Barrie's The Old Lady Shows Her Medals to cameron in W. Bolingbroke Johnson's The Widening Stain. Off the boards, he has written an abridged script for E. B. White's dassic, Charlotte's Web, which was ultimately prduced for every branch of the Seattle Public Library system (in this production he also played multiple roles as Wilbur (the pig), Templeton (the rat) as well as Lurvy, the hired hand.) Kim has been an employee of Seattle Public Library since 10 May 1961, one month before he graduated from high school. Kim has been directly involved with the American Radio Theater from its beginnings.
