Joy Jackson, Producer

Picture of Joy Jackson

Joy stumbled into the hobby of old-time-radio in 1991 while being a part of The Bathhouse Theatre, a small Equity theater in Seattle, WA. From 1991 to 2004, she was a major player in the Radio Enthusiasts of Puget Sound (REPS), chairing or co-chairing 13 Showcase (Old Time Radio) conventions, as well as serving on the REPS Board. Joy has written a dozen radio plays, induding Second Strike of lightning, Skyway to Hell, Spirit, and Sunset Squadron. With Mike Wheeler, she co-wrote ART's first original production, Alonzo's Watch. " I'm in this for the magic, because it can happen at any time in radio drama." Director, producer, president, sound editor, script girl, and sound engineer- the things to learn are limitless, and fascinating.
