Barbara Fuller

Barbara started her radio career in Chicago, first on series like The Eye of Montezuma and Salty Sam and then moving on to older roles. During her time in Chicago she became a very busy actress; sometimes working as many as 25 shows a week. She moved to New York for a few years before moving on to California. Barbara Fuller appeared on several Mutual Broadcasting System series including Family Theatre, Painted Dreams, Scattergood Baines as Barbara Calkins, and was a regular on The Theater of Famous Radio Players. The latter series was described by Old-Time Radio authority John Dunning as, "A repertory company of radio's best professional actors." She had continuing roles on several series: His Honor the Barber as Susan, Stepmother as Peggy Fairchild, Light of the World as Jehosheba, The Road of` Life as Marion Baxter and Verna Roberts, and a run of nearly 14 years as Claudia on One Man's Family. Some of Barbara's other radio credits include: The Abbott and Costello Kids Show, Barrie Craig, Confidential Investigator, The Cavalcade Of America, Guest Star, Heartbeat Theatre, The Lux Radio Theatre, Madame Courageous, The Man Called X, Maxwell House Coffee Time, Woman In My House, and The Younger Generation. Barbara was also a frequent performer on three series sponsored by the Red Cross: You Were There, In Your Name, and Errand Of Mercy. She also appeared on several television series such as Adventures of Superman, Lassie, Perry Mason, My Three Sons, and Trackdown. During Showcase 11 Barbara appeared in the recreations of Damon Runyon Theatre, Mr. and Mrs. North, Our Miss Brooks, and Lux Radio Theatre.
